PPS principal Simon Mills is an acknowledged authority on herbal medicine, since 1980 a Board member and former President of the UK trade body, the British Herbal Medicine Association (BHMA), and since 1997 Secretary of the European Scientific Cooperative on Phytotherapy (ESCOP) that produces harmonised monographs on herbal medicinal products initially for the European Medicines Agency. He was a founder member of the UK MHRA’s Herbal Medicines Advisory Committee (HMAC) that oversaw the first Traditional Herbal Medicinal Product registrations. He has led major research projects for the EU, UK government and a US foundation, been Special Advisor to the UK House of Lords, and has authored standard textbooks on herbal medicine.
Simon began working in the consumer health sector over 30 years ago, along with the principals and associates of Fenwick Gemmell Reid, a leading international OTC business development consultancy.
